Tell us more about you..

I am a Danish girl living in Florida. I have made drawings, sketches, portraits, watercolours and paintings throughout my life on a hobby basis. I started researching NFTs in January 2022 and got really fascinated by this new world and all the possibilities it offered. I then started making digital paintings which unlocked a whole new side of my creativity. The floodgates had been opened and I decided to pursue art as a career.

How do you describe your NFT Art?

My NFT’s are colourful abstract art pieces often with a whimsical flowy theme. I genuinely believe that art has to be a work of passion, and for me that passion is my greatest joy! Hence my artist name “Dorthe’s Joy of Creation”. I want to spread this joy to others and inspire them to find their own inner joy of creation, and let loose the artist that lives within them! I do plan on making physical art pieces again, as this is still a passion of mine. I want to make NFT collections of these as well, and maybe even mix the physical and digital.

Why did you choose this piece to show us?

I chose this piece because it represents my colourful, whimsical style, but also makes me think of the growing NFT community and how it branches out and reaches more and more people every day.

Can you leave a message to collectors and other artists that are willing to connect with you?

To artists: Be authentic to who you are as an artist and do what you love. You will find the collectors who connect with your work eventually. Just be true to yourself! Connect with other artists as well, support them, share their work and grow your community. To collectors: I have been making art my whole life and am planning to continue doing that for the rest of my life. I will keep improving my skills and make both digital and physical art work. I am also going to collaborate with other artists to expand my own horizons. The future is bright and the possibilities are endless!
