Brenda Stone Art

I have the sublime privilege of collecting art in Web3 from remarkably talented creatives. One of my favourite artists is Brenda Stone whom I have known for 8 years in real life . An Australian abstract artist, born and raised in far North Queensland who has built a successful art career inspired by nature and the tropical landscape of Queensland. Her work adorns many corporate businesses in Townsville, including two 780 sqm abstract pieces in the Townsville airport which will be seen by over a million travellers per year. In 2021 she decided to share her work with the global art community via Web3 and Nfts.

The world was reeling from Covid, and small tourism operators were struggling from the impact of the pandemic. She decided to offer them the opportunity to collaborate with her Genesis Townsville landscapes collection. She was one of the first artists to offer real life utility attached to her art NFT pieces on the Ethereum blockchain. She added value in the form of mini breaks, sailing trips and shone a light on the local tourism operators who were making their first appearance in Web3. She sold out her Genesis Collection on Opensea and immediately began to curate her next collection with a multi chain approach. Her Web3 strategy is focused on offering a curated three tier white glove service to her collectors, utilising a multi chain approach to enable everyone, no matter what their budget, be able to afford a piece of Brenda Stone art .

Brenda has a unique method of creating her paintings. Her tool of choice is not a paint brush but spoons, adopting a paint pouring method onto canvas accented by drips of resin. The organic flow of the paint and textures influenced by her physical manipulation of the canvas creates spectacular pieces of work that adorn many collectors’ homes and wallets in Web3. Mother Nature and the ocean are her muses. Brenda instinctively blends an aquatic colour palette  which magically transports you to a moment in time where your body and soul is at one with nature. The spontaneous nature of Brenda’s art is matched with her eagerness to learn more about this new Web3 world , give more back to her community and create more art.

Her bravery entering Web3 has been rewarded with the relationships she has built with other artists in the space. She has evolved from painting in her shed, to corporate commissions and now entering the digital medium transferring her paintings into the NFT format. I buy art based on the feelings I experience when looking at the piece combined with who the artists is as a human being.

I can recognise a piece of Brenda Stone art immediately. Each painting encourages me to indulge a range of emotions that perhaps I have ignored. I am transported to my happy place plus I have the knowledge that I am supporting one of the most generous, kind creatives in Australia.

Brenda is currently working on her collection for Wave 2 of the Corals which will be delivered on the Tezos blockchain and finishing up 2022 on a high with her diary of commissions for 2023 and new NFT drops on different blockchains.

Watch this space, Brenda Stone Art will explode in 2023.
