Tell us more about you..

I studied art and art history as an undergraduate, with my art practice focused on photography and filmmaking. I was incredibly lucky to learn from some amazing teachers, including Nan Goldin and Susan Meiselas. After college, I pretty much stopped making art, and went on to have a career in finance and the art world. After an amazing stint as Founder Alanna Heiss’s right hand woman at PS1 Contemporary Art Center, I got my MBA and worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and Barclays Capital. But my goal was always to come back to the art world. After I left Wall Street, I went on to become the Manager of the Department and Painting and Sculpture at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, where I spent eight wonderful years. I was clueless about web3 until I joined my current company, ClubNFT, where I am CFO and COO. I was onboarded into the world of collecting on Tezos by our CEO Jason Bailey (aka Artnome). I was obsessed with the art I found there, especially the generative art found on fxhash, and became an avid collector. More recently, I started collecting AI art, and my friend ClownVamp inspired and encouraged me to try making my own AI work. I signed up for Midjourney and just fell in love with the process. It feels so good to be creative again.

How do you describe your NFT Art?

My NFT art practice so far has focused on exploring art history using AI. I have a series called “AI Mashups” in which I take two different artists/creators and mashup their styles, basically imagining what it would result if they had collaborated on a work together. It sometimes goes in very unexpected directions, which I enjoy. Many times, a combination I try just doesn’t work. For every artist pairing where I eventually get to an output that I find aesthetically pleasing and interesting enough to mint, there are probably 10 or more pairings that I’ve tried where I didn’t get to a successful image. I also just started a series called “AI Women” which is an offshoot of the AI Mashups, where I mint 1/1 outputs of unique, interesting women that come out of my iterative AI process.

Why did you choose this piece to show us?

This was one of the first pieces I minted, an imagined collaboration between Cy Twombly and Studio Ghibli. I’m a longtime admirer of Twombly’s work, and my kids and I love to watch Studio Ghibli films together. I really like how this image captures both Twombly’s messy, gestural style and the imaginative playfulness of Studio Ghibli.

Can you leave a message to collectors and other artists that are willing to connect with you?

I’d like to thank everyone who follows and supports me, this community has been such a positive force in my life. I’m always happy to connect with fellow artists and/or collectors, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
