Tell us more about you..

Hello, my name is Heliodoro Santos (Helio Santos), I am from Colima, Mexico, used to be a painter in my early years as an artist, but always interested in sound, installation, technology and performance. did a Master in Digital Art in Barcelona and that changes all my work and way of production, now working with digital art, electronic music, internet, AI, algorithms and painting, interested in the automation processes in art and questions about that, the creativity, authorship and all the old precepts in art and how they have been changing in the history of art, in all my work I propose questions about that, and art as a human process, between technology and science.

How do you describe your NFT Art?

My Art in general is a question about reality, how we build our environment, with sociopolitical and technological issues. NFTs are just a new space, ecosystem, and opportunity for artists from all over the world to focus and orient themselves to show, sell and exchange their work. I believe in blockchain and NFTs as a great opportunity for the artist in the global south, and in the non-main and small cities of the world: the outsiders, this is part of my statement as an artist.

Why did you choose this piece to show us?

This is my latest artwork, focused in working together with machines and how they interpret our world, this is the reason why I am working with AI, all the human imaginary are in datasets, algorithms and Internet. “Atardecer en tres tiempos” speaks or show of this fascination with machines, culture and data, mixing it with algorithms and my passion for painting.

Can you leave a message to collectors and other artists that are willing to connect with you?

I am always excited to meet new artists and collectors, one of the most important things in the NFT space is the relationships I have built with other artists and collectors, greatly appreciate feedback on my work and open to learning, connect, collect and make art.
